A driver has been charged with DUI following a rollover accident on Highway 127 South in Cumberland County. The call went out shortly after 6am Sunday and emergency personnel were dispatched to the 11,000 block of Highway 127 South. According to the THP, 20-year-old Avis Lee Watson was driving south in a 2023 Honda Accord when the vehicle crossed the center line and exited the roadway on the left side. The Honda traveled over an embankment, began to roll over and came to a final rest on its top. According to the report, Watson was not injured. Watson was also charged with Underage consumption, Leaving the Scene, and No Seatbelt. The report states no charges are pending against the 18-year-old passenger and her injuries were listed as unknown in the Trooper’s report.
