Several students from the CCHS French program won national recognition for their scores on Le Grand Concours National French Exam, taken in March. Level 2 students  Zachary Sapp and Daisy Ayala-Martinez, as well as Level 1 students Natalie Tayes and Carolyn Hulburt, placed in the top 10-15% of all students nationally.  They were awarded bronze medals and the title  “Lauréat National” by the American Association of Teachers of French.

Placing just below the national bronze medal, several more students were awarded a national “Mention Honorable” by the AATF.  Jordan Kerley represented Level 2, while Holly Barnaby, Rileigh Bruce, Arianna Caruso, Molly McGouirk, Willow Leonhart, and Colton Huling represented Level 1.

All of these students will automatically be entered for additional awards from donors and sponsors at the national level.  Students from across the nation in public, private, International Baccalaureate, and homeschools all competed for these honors.
