Gov. Bill Lee Signs Protecting Children from Social Media Act into Law

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has signed the Protecting Children from Social Media Act into law.  The bipartisan law requires those under age 18 to have parental consent before they can make a social media account. It also allows parents to supervise those accounts. It will be up to companies on how they verify ages and the burden is on parents to monitor their child’s activities online.
