According to Tennessee Athletics, Formerly #3 Tennessee exploded for 11 runs in the sixth inning to blow open a close game and secure its seventh straight SEC series win, toppling Florida 16-3 in seven innings on Saturday night at Condron Family Ballpark. With the win, the Volunteers also recorded their fourth consecutive series win in Gainesville, something that has never been done before in program history. On Monday Tennessee got rid of their 3rd place ranking and traded it in for the #1 Spot. the #1 Ranked Tennessee Volunteers will host Queens University for a midweek matchup Tuesday at 5:00 PM.

According to WVLT, Kim Caldwell added her third transfer portal addition on Sunday in Arkansas transfer Samara Spencer. Spencer confirmed her commitment via social media. Spencer earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2022, averaging 12.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Spencer ranks 16th on the Arkansas career scoring list with 1,368. The Fort Lauderdale native also holds the Arkansas single-season record for minutes played and games started. Spencer joins Syracuse’s Alyssa Latham and Miami’s Lazaria Spearman as additions Caldwell has made through the transfer portal since becoming head coach.
