A driver escaped injury after hitting a bridge guardrail on I-40 in Cumberland County. It happened around 6pm Saturday near the 327 eastbound mile marker. According to the THP, 20-year-old Justin Leon Howard was driving east in a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro when he said a semi-truck began merging into his lane. To avoid being struck by the truck, Howard swerved and hit a bridge rail. He was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. The tractor-trailer was not on the scene when THP arrived.
