Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly has directed city staff to publish a Request for Qualifications for firms to develop the scoping and analysis for the proposed Sunbelt-Atlantic Connector, a passenger rail line that would link Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and Atlanta. The City of Chattanooga was awarded a $500,000 federal grant last year to develop the scope, cost, engineering and other requirements needed to develop the line. The deadline for applications in Tuesday, June 11th.
